We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Engineer to collaborate and work within our MEP engineering team. Duties will include design of a wide range of projects including education facilities, laboratories, commercial real estate, state and federal institutions, and transportation facilities. The successful candidate shall have at least 10 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry. Experience designing systems such as, controls, HVAC, VAV, RTU, switch gear, domestic cold water, water treatment, domestic hot water, sanitary drainage and vent, storm drainage, pumping, natural gas distribution, medical and laboratory gas, and other special systems is necessary. Other responsibilities may include the preparation of CAD and REVIT drawings, system design calculations, equipment selections, technical specifications, design reports, and design narratives. Candidates will also be required to coordinate work with the client and engineers of other disciplines, attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues. Experience in incorporating sustainable (LEED) design methods in buildings is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • 10+years experience related to systems design; either mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection.
  • A Professional Engineering license is required. LEED certification is preferred, but not required.
  • AutoCAD proficient.
  • Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local vicinity codes required.
  • Project management skills are required..
  • Good communication skills essential for team-based working

BUILDING COMMISSIONING, AUTOMATED CONTROLS

You will be working with a talented team of technicians and engineers with very similar backgrounds. Our company provides services which are uncommon in our industry, however in high demand. This is not a position for an MEP-type desk engineer. You should have some experience in several different disciplines, and have an understanding of Building Automation.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Hands-on experience designing, repairing, and troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, DDC, SCADA, automation, automotive, or mechanical systems. Automotive Technicians, Building engineers, Maintenance Technicians, or HVAC Technicians who are looking to advance their careers, are good candidates
  • A desire to understand and design many types of mechanical, electrical, systems and controls.
  • Must be capable of learning engineering calculations used in the design of refrigerant, energy transfer, water, air, and electrical systems.
  • Must be willing to investigate, document, and understand enterprise level theory of operation.
  • Experience in disciplines related to MEP Engineering or installation with some involvement in architecture and building envelope design and testing is beneficial
  • Must be a capable technical writer, with experience describing sophisticated technical concepts, in plain English. Must also be a good verbal communicator who is capable of speaking with non-engineers, and forming strong personal relationships.
  • Must enjoy forensic engineering
  • Experience in industrial controls would be a bonus

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in mechanical, electrical, or controls engineering is preferred. (Work experience will be considered in substitution for formal education)
  • 2-5 Years Experience.
  • CxA certification is a plus.

  • Assist in business development efforts, to include: coordinating/developing proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, government forms, and responding to RFPs and leads.
  • Assist in executing and delivering proposals and presentation materials in a timely manner.
  • Create project experience sheets in the specified format and collect project information for marketing use.
  • Assist with creation of any promotional material to assemble and distribute to clients and prospects
  • Manage and replenish inventory of in-house marketing materials.

Required Qualifications:
