SENIOR MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL / PLUMBING ENGINEER
NEW YORK, NY & FAIRFAX, VA or WASHINGTON, DC

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Engineer to collaborate and work within our MEP engineering team. Duties will include design of a wide range of projects including education facilities, laboratories, commercial real estate, state and federal institutions, and transportation facilities. The successful candidate shall have at least 10 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry. Experience designing systems such as, controls, HVAC, VAV, RTU, switch gear, domestic cold water, water treatment, domestic hot water, sanitary drainage and vent, storm drainage, pumping, natural gas distribution, medical and laboratory gas, and other special systems is necessary. Other responsibilities may include the preparation of CAD and REVIT drawings, system design calculations, equipment selections, technical specifications, design reports, and design narratives. Candidates will also be required to coordinate work with the client and engineers of other disciplines, attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues. Experience in incorporating sustainable (LEED) design methods in buildings is a plus.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • 10+years experience related to systems design; either mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection.
  • A Professional Engineering license is required. LEED certification is preferred, but not required.
  • AutoCAD proficient.
  • Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local vicinity codes required.
  • Project management skills are required..
  • Good communication skills essential for team-based working
