Setty & Associates, Ltd. was tasked by NAVFAC to develop a request for proposal for the design/build of a 2,400 sm new research and development test support facility, including 120 computer workstations and networked printers.

To develop the RFP for this project Setty & Associates, Ltd. team members met with the lead architect, owner, and end user to discuss concept submitted during the evaluation phase. 35% of the design was based on the concept developed during this meeting.

We also met with the Contract Officer to discuss issues and develop a mutual understanding relative to the administration of the Value Engineering, pricing, shop drawing submittals, schedule, and work procedure. We also determined what areas of the building require SCIF, and researched available utility energy rebate programs for the owner.
