Setty & Associates completed the design of a temporary heating system including two rooftop gas units for the school gymnasium, and 20 electrical heating units of various sizes and capacities for classrooms, multipurpose room, teachers lounge, locker rooms, kitchen and cafeteria fulfilling the phasing requirements for the renovation process.
The main heating system had to be shut down while doing asbestos abatement work in the school. The main heating plant was working at maximum electrical load; hence the temporary heating units required temporary power supply. The system was designed for easy installation, maintenance and removal with least disruption to the building, existing utilities and neighborhood.
