Having worked with the General Services Administration for over 20 years and being integrally involved in over 300 projects,The Setty & Associates, Ltd. team has been providing M/E/P Engineering Services for the GSA’s Federal Trade Commission Building for the past five years as part of our GSA ID/IQ contract. The following are just some of the projects we have performed.

 

A report summarizing the current conditions, the new equipment requirements, and recommendations identifying the most feasible actions that should be taken to accommodate an expanded computer center to meet the FTC Agency's program requirements was supplied.


The report was prepared in a fashion that described the scope of the contractor's work including costs, scheduling, and descriptions of the equipment and materials required to complete the changes taking place in the computer and communication facilities.

 

Setty & Associates design services included an upgrade of the HVAC System Controls for more efficient control of the temperature and the humidity in the Energy Management Center of the FTC headquarters. Modifications include:

  • Replacement AHU’s 1 thru 8
  • Removal and replacement of four return air fans
  • Removal and replacement of associated dampers and accessories,
  • Removal and replacement of portions of the existing ductwork, piping, fittings, and asbestos
  • insulation on the associated equipment, ductwork, piping and associated fittings.
  • New AHU's and return air fans provided with variable frequency drive motors and variable
  • frequency drive controllers.
  • Provided new feeders from switchboard in basement to new Variable Frequency
  • Drives at AHU’s. Reconfigured existing motor control center to have new power
  • feeder pass through MCC to new VFD controllers at the AHU’s. Three 80 kW
  • Uninterruptible Power Systems
