Responsibilities
Collaborate in multi discipline project teams to develop drawings and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors, and building owners.
Independently perform select phases of electrical system design from the conceptual phase through construction documents, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
Perform engineering calculations for equipment sizing, load calculations, and system selection for low and medium voltage systems.
Develop electrical specifications and design narratives aligned with project requirements and applicable codes.
Coordinate electrical designs with architectural and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
Survey and evaluate existing conditions for renovation and adaptive reuse projects.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable local, state, and national codes and standards.
Perform construction administration, including conducting field inspections, preparing inspection reports, reviewing submittals, and responding to RFIs
Incorporate sustainable design methods independent of benchmarking standards incorporated, e.g., LEED, Well Building, NZEB (Net Zero Energy Building), Living Building Challenge (ILFI), etc.
Qualifications
Interest in engineering the built environment
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

3–6 years of experience in the facilities design industry; 4+ years preferred
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
USGBC LEED AP a plus.
