SR MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Fairfax, VA)
SETTY & Associates is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our Fairfax, VA office. This senior-level position requires a driven and technically skilled engineer who can lead mechanical design efforts from concept through construction, mentor junior staff, and serve as a trusted representative of our firm in client and team settings.

Key Responsibilities
Independently manage and execute all phases of mechanical design, including conceptual studies, detailed design, engineering calculations, and construction documentation

Duties will include designing a wide range of projects including laboratories, hospitals, commercial, institutional, education buildings and transportation facilities. Candidate shall have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and five years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry. Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred. Designing systems including: controls, switch gear, lighting, power systems, emergency power systems and other special systems. Other responsibilities include preparation of CAD and REVIT drawings, system design calculations, equipment selections, technical specifications, design reports, and design narratives. Candidate may be required to coordinate work with the client and engineers of other disciplines, attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues. BIM Manager (Washington DC)
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented BIM Manager to lead and deliver BIM services to external clients across the DMV region. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and technical lead, supporting owners, architects, and general contractors in developing and implementing project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), managing coordination workflows, facilitating clash detection, and ensuring data consistency across all project phases. This is a client-facing position focused on service delivery and strategic BIM consulting.
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in BIM coordination, execution planning, or digital delivery roles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in alignment with project requirements and client goals across design, construction, and handover phases.
Serve as the BIM representative on behalf of SETTY for client projects, coordinating model exchange protocols and facilitating BIM kick-off and coordination review meetings across disciplines.
