Raj Setty, P.E., CxA, LEED AP, CDCMP

Raj Setty, President & Principal of SETTY, brings more than 25 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry, with expertise in HVAC systems, building performance, commissioning and sustainable design.

He is a Registered Professional Engineer, Certified Commissioning Agent, LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Data Centre Management Professional. He serves as an ASHRAE Instructor and member of three ASHRAE technical and research committees, including the ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force on Schools.

Raj’s leadership in the HVAC and building systems industry, combined with his involvement in national industry initiatives, has made him a recognized voice on building performance, indoor environmental quality and occupant health.

Raj’s work with the ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force focused on developing guidance to help schools and other facilities maintain healthier indoor environments and prepare buildings for future infectious disease events. This experience has directly informed SETTY’s approach to Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), particularly in evaluating ventilation, filtration, air distribution, and existing building systems.

Through assessments, engineering analysis and practical system improvements, Raj and the SETTY team help clients identify opportunities to enhance IAQ while balancing occupant safety, energy performance, operational requirements, and long-term resilience. Raj has also presented on IAQ and building performance at national industry forums, sharing strategies for creating healthier and more resilient indoor environments.
