Bethesda Police Station, Bethesda, MD

MEP/FP design for this four-story, 32,000 SF police station. The building features public meeting rooms, victim & witness interview room, weapon cleaning room, public lobby, public toilet, office spaces, conference room, storage rooms in addition to secure interview rooms, prisoner holding cells and locker/shower rooms. The facility is LEED Silver certified.

City of Gaithersburg - Police Headquarter Renovation, Owner’s Representation, Gaithersburg, MD

Owner’s Representation for a Police Station of approximately 36,600 SF. The project scope includes interior alterations to first two levels of the existing 16 South Summit Avenue building. The first level of approximately 10,800 SF houses the Council Chambers with community space and lobby, a main building lobby and a portion of the Police program. The 12,900 SF second level is completely inhabited by the Gaithersburg Police Station. The renovation was carried over four phases.

National Park Service Hains Point D-1 Police Station, Washington, DC

MEP/FP design towards construction of the new 15,000 SF police station of the United States Park Police (USPP) at the site of National Capital Region Office (NCRO) Headquarters at Hains Point, Washington, DC. Scope also includes Fundamental Building Commissioning services for the new NPS D1 Police Station encompassing commissioning at design, construction, and pre-warranty phases. Systems commissioned include HVAC and associated controls in addition to lighting and day-lighting controls and domestic hot water systems.

 
 

Metropolitan Police Department: Metropolitan Tactical Village
Washington, DC

MEP/FP engineering design for a 40,000 SF new construction comprising of four distinct buildings. The project site was intended to be an indoor firing range training facility.

2850 Avenue NE - Metropolitan Police Station, Washington, DC

Professional engineering designs for an adaptive reuse of the Washington Times office and newspaper printing facility. The two story building is approximately 131,000 SF. This adaptive reuse includes build-out of office space, cubicles, male and female locker rooms and bathrooms, secure storage areas and indoor parking facilities in addition to relocation of six Metropolitan Police Department units hosted in different facilities throughout the District.

Fairfax County Old Jail Evaluation, Fairfax, VA

Scope includes a structural investigation, review and condition assessment of the Fairfax County Jail, a historic building of approximately 5,800 SF occupied by admin staff of the Sheriff’s office. The assessment found the building to be structurally sound without any apparent damage.

However, the investigation also revealed some defects recommended for specific repair. Two of the critical findings of this assessment include damage to exterior brick corbelling exacerbated by movement due to the 2011 earthquake and moisture damage at the roof’s original wood ridge.

City of Richmond - Fourth Police Precinct, Richmond, VA

MEP/FP and security systems engineering for the City of Richmond’s Fourth Police Precinct. SETTY also provided empty conduit for the system, electrical power for sculpture tower lighting and to ground mounted lights for the four wall mounted sculptures on the Building’s west elevation.
