The Department of Poultry Science at the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences in Athens, Georgia, is currently housed in the Poultry Sciences Building. The department is home to 4 undergraduate degree programs consisting of Avian Biology, Poultry Science, Animal Health and Biological Science.

The new building aims to continue growth and development of the department’s faculty, students, and educational programs and the accommodation of evolving teaching pedagogies and changing research activities.

This new building provides a variety of new educational classrooms, instructional laboratories, faculty research laboratories, laboratory support spaces and administrative and office spaces in addition to dedicated space needed for the mechanical system required to ensure an efficiently operating facility.

 
 

SETTY’s scope of commissioning involves preconstruction design phase services through construction and warranty phase services of this new 75,000 gross square foot Poultry Science Complex in order to meet the needs of a state-of-the-art dedicated education and research facility to enhance and expand the quality of instruction and related research.

Systems to be commissioned include HAVC and associated controls, Electrical distribution and Generator, Lighting and Day-lighting Controls, Domestic Water Systems in addition to Fire and Life Safety Systems.
