The primary goal of this project at Brooklyn College is to restore four Tec Systems Inc. Building Management Systems (BMS) and expand BMS coverage across the entire campus. By unifying all facilities under a single, integrated platform with minimal disruption to existing operations, the upgraded BMS will significantly improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and building safety. This campus-wide BMS solution will also streamline facilities management while reducing energy consumption and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. During the System Analysis and Selection phase, multiple BMS options will be carefully evaluated to ensure the chosen system offers maximum compatibility, scalability, and reliability for long-term campus operations.

SETTY is serving as the prime consultant overseeing the campus-wide Building Management System (BMS) upgrade at CUNY’s Brooklyn College. The scope involves mechanical HVAC controls integration across multiple facilities.

The upgrade replaces legacy control systems with a modern, integrated BMS platform, enabling central monitoring and control of HVAC operations across the campus. By consolidating control architecture and introducing smart automation, Brooklyn College gains improved operational visibility, enhanced energy management, and the flexibility to scale future infrastructure improvements, without disrupting daily campus activities.

SETTY’s leadership in this role supports CUNY’s broader objectives for efficient, resilient, and digitally controlled campus infrastructure, ensuring systems are adaptable to evolving needs while optimizing performance and energy usage.
