Manassas City Public Schools is located in the Northern Virginia region, about30 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. It contains 11 schools and approximately 7,400 students.

 

SETTY’s scope of work includes replacement of obsolete hot-water boilers with condensing boilers at four schools. these being the highest efficient boiler technology available in the market. As part of the project, services include preparation of responses to contractor RFIs, submittal review, progress site visits to ensure correct installation, and witnessing boiler startups at each of the four school. Scope also include installation of corrosion-resistant flues and replacement of isolation and control valves.

Schools under the said scope of work include:

Round Elementary School:
Design towards replacement of two cast iron Peerless G-711FDA-WUP series 1,356,000 BTU boilers serving the central heating system. Designs include local control strategy.

 
 

Dean Elementary School:
Design towards replacement of two cast iron 1,488,000 BTU boilers (Peerless G-712FDA-WUP series) serving the central heating system. Design also includes local control strategy.

 Haydon Elementary School:
Design towards replacement of three multi-pulse 299,000 BTU (Hydrotherm AM-300 series) boilers.

Weems Elementary:
Design to replace two existing multi-pulse 299,000 BTU boilers (Hydrothermal AM-300 series) with Hydrothermal KN-2 series boilers and replacement of two, 10 horsepower pumps. Reconnected to existing TRANE Tracer system.
