Commissioning

The James F. Battin U.S. Courthouse in Billings is designed to enhance function of the downtown area through regional place-making, landscaped public green space and sustainable, high-performance building systems.

SETTY services include total building commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related building systems in addition to building enclosure and fire protection for this U.S. Federal Courthouse.

Commissioning was incorporated from early concept design to the post-construction phase of the project in order to ensure delivery of a new courthouse with high performance building systems.

The courthouse is designed to include three courtrooms, four chambers and prisoner areas for the U.S. Marshals Service. It also includes administrative areas for the United States District Court, probation, the U.S. Marshals Service, the United States Attorneys' Office, and General Services Administration (GSA).
