The new Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health, located at the St. Elizabeths Campus, is named after Frederick Douglass’ historic Anacostia estate, located two miles north of the St. Elizabeth’s Campus. The new facility aims to significantly improve access to integrated high-quality healthcare to the District’s residence. The project is part of a larger campus redevelopment plan and is designed to accommodate future growth.

The new hospital and ambulatory care building will feature a verified Level III trauma center, emergency departments for adults and children, women services, radiology, and surgery in a new acute care building. The outpatient ambulatory portion of the project includes approximately 77,000 SF of clinical space, imaging, specialty care and medical offices, cardiac rehab, surgery and conference/education space.

SETTY, in partnership with WSP, provided MEP/FP engineering services for the new state-of-the-art ambulatory care building and energy modeling services for the entire facility. In conjunction with our partner, SETTY provided additional design services to support the design of the central utility plant for both the new hospital and ambulatory care building.
